Elate is the debut album of Bulgarian folktronic trio Trigaida. I was invited to create the graphic design for the vinyl and digipack complimentary to the original oil painted cover by Nasimo.
Folktronica is a combination of folk music with electronic soundscapes - the cover being an interpretation of this fusion of styles. A graphic concept was needed to complete the designs. I based my approach on the colorful light array that portrays the digital angle of the fusion. I imagined the design simple and uncomplicated, in order to support the visually rich cover. The dance of the light beams was continued throughout the packaging.
